So what are you planning on watching? Posted Image For me; Though keep in mind I'll probably drop or not bother with a lot of these... Aoi Hana (likely to be dropped) Seems like it could be okay, nothing stands out about it but I don't have much to watch lately these past seasons so I'll give it a shot. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (likely to be dropped) Not actually interested, but it's BONES so I'll give it a try. Canaan The character design for DFC was done horribly, they look like flappy pancakes even though its just supposed to be flat chest and it just yeah, looks pig disgusting. But the anime itself seems cool. Umineko DEFINITELY watching this. The VN is very close to taking the number 1 spot away from Ever17 for me, it's a really great game and yeah probably the best VN i've ever 'played'. BUT, the anime adaptation is already showing it'll be not so good, the art has been released (concept art and designs) that they will use for the series and they really fucked things up...somehow the game has MUCH better art than the series (though honestly the art was surprisingly not bad at all in umineko, unlike higurashi). Not only does it fail to compare with the art in the game in quality, but they drastically changed how people looked for no reason at all. One good thing is that they will keep (with some remixes) the original OST from the game...which is by far the best soundtrack i've ever heard for anything. So that's a plus. Taishou Yakyuu Musume (likely to be dropped) JCStaff so I'll give it a shot, sounds like it could at least be a little fun time-filler at least. Winter Sonata (likely to be dropped) Apparently Fukumoto (creator and artist for kaiji, akagi, zero, etc) based a character very much off of one of the main characters in the original version of this (the k-drama) so i'm a little interested. Kanamemo (likely to be dropped) Looks like it could be a cute slice of life Sora no Manimani (likely to be dropped) See above Hetalia 2 Yeah yeah, gay countries, just ignore that i mentioned this. Spice and Wolf. Liked the first season... so yeah. Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. Should be interesting. Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Again. Despair. I'm glad Umineko has moved away for blobchars. |

Hmm, for me, definitely Spice and Wolf II, been waiting for that one for a while. Tokyo Mag 8.0 sounds interesting Canaan already got me when I was in Akiba, I watched them take down the DCIF posters and put up the Canaan ads at Gamers, and then was there when they first started playing the preview on the TV's outside, so yeah, looks cool. Taishou ~ Baseball....girls...learning and forming a team...SOUNDS FAMILIAR. anyways, the first time around was good, so maybe the 2nd time around will be good too Sora no Manimani, slice of life, clubs, etc all tend to be good combos recently, so why not |

ugh, just saw some more official art for the series, not sure if ill be able to deal with watching it. If you're unfamiliar with umineko, yeah it looks fine...but god, its' like if you were a huge Clannad fan and then kyoani made them look like lucky-star characters. It's that big of a fucking difference. Imagine lucky-star art-style tomoya holding dead lucky-star moe-blob ushio, yeah, kind of ruins the fucking mood. In this case, it's like the entire show would be that happening constantly. |

The only must watch for me is Spice and Wolf 2. Past that I will likely check out Tokyo Magnitude 8, Caanan and Umineko though Im hesitant to expect much after the major disappointment that was Higurashi. Really though like most season I will drop most of the ones that I am looking forward to and most enjoy the ones I had no interest in in the first place. |

Season has started, what are you fags actually watching, I havn't tried shit but I'll check out the Umishitfest episode 1 today probably. Though I'm not looking forward to it as its clear it is complete shit compared to the same ಠ3ಠ |

Downloaded the first ep of Umineko and watched the op and ed and skipped through the rest of it. Seemed ok besides from character design. Op was pretty good, ED was really really awful. Apparently Kinzo's VA sings this? Thought it saw that on 4chan but could be totally wrong. Other than that I have watched the first eps of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Aoi Hana, Spice and Wolf II, and Canaan. I enjoyed all of the them to a certain extent. Spicy wolf I am sure will be great like the first season which is one of my favs. Caanan seemed interesting but I can see it getting shitty shortly in, hopefully not. TM 8.0 looks to be ok, not sure what direction they are taking the show but hopefully it remains something fairly realistic without giant robo's everywhere and shady groups plotting evil deeds. Aoi Hana should be awesome since it appears to be a delicious slice-of-life with a yuri flavouring. Only other show I know that I want to check out is Bakemonogatari. |
