Here is a thought or two on the subject. One way to solve the problem with painting is to get several cans, we are talking like 7 or 8 cans or so, per coating of armor. After you have applied the desired amout of coats to your armor, I would suggest a couple of coats of clear coat. Again, you are looking at several cans of that as well. The benefit of clear coat is that it seals your color onto the surface. And if you apply enough coats, it won't be as likely to scratch or degrade after every trooping. I'd also suggest possibly primimg your armor with a darker color primer. There is nothing worse than having white scratches showing through your red-painted armor. It would look like it was, in fact, red-painted armor.

That would be one way. You could probably save yourself some money in the long run just by talking your armor to an automotive paint shop and having them professionally paint your armor with automotive paint. It should be durable and longlasting as auto paint is designed to keep its color for at least 10 years ( an average life of a vehicle).
