The Det Leadership team is currently working costume specs for the Legion Costume Reference Library. We'll need something like this format for the Storm Commando and I'd like to see professional, high resolution pics of front, back, and both sides so GMLs can easily approve the costume. As there are two versions of the Storm Commando (black version of the Bikerscout and the alternate, idealized version, I'd like to see both versions represented. STEALTH TROOPER or BLACK HOLE TROOPER A Stealth Trooper MUST have the following: - Black, glossy professional-quality Stormtrooper armor (made of ABS, HIPS, Styrene, or Fiberglass). Repainting white TK armor is currently NOT recommended, and if you do, it must NEVER, EVER show white. - Plain black gloves with no visible logos or ornamental stitching (Preferrably leather, but can be rubber or Jersey-style cloth). - Black one-piece or two piece undersuit with no visible logos. Non-textured material. Commonly used items include “UnderArmor” or “Starter” warm-up suits, or dance unitards. Dark midnight blue is under consideration, but not approved yet. - Black "Chelsea-style" ankle high, laceless boots. Boots may be Leather or Vinyl preferrably with small U-shaped elastic sections on either side of the ankle, and up to a 1” heel. - Opaque flat or bubbled helmet lenses, colored either black, dark smoke, silver, or dark green. An observer must not be able to see your eyes through the helmet. - Plain black ammo belt, either ABS, HIPS, Styrene, elastic or canvas fabric. (Observe rules on thermal detonator/ammo pouches when carrying a BFG). Any metal snaps (if used in lieu of black Velcro) must be black. - Movie-accurate Blaster. Preferrably weathered, and may be an E-11 or BFG. MG-34 (DLT19), Lewis Gun (T21), or MG-15 (unnamed in SW galaxy). These prop weapons may be a modified toy blaster (i.e. Hasbro), scratch-built, resin cast, hyperfirm rubber cast, vaccuformed, MR, or real demilitarized guns. It's imperitive that it cannot fire a projectile and if you are asked by your CO not to bring it to an event, please comply. - Black heavy vinyl or leather E-11 holster with black snaps and stitching is to be worn only when an E-11 is carried. - Silver or dark gray helmet frown. Black is currently under consideration. - Dark gray helmet decals. Black is under consideration. - Black or dark blue helmet tube stripes. - Black Velcro, preferrably Industrial. White Velcro (if used - highly not recommended) must never be visible. - Black canvas or elastic suspenders/straps/harness system (if used). Any clips or adjustment loops (black plastic fast-back clips are highly recommended) on your suspenders/straps/harness system must also be black. - Any teeth cut out of helmet frown for ventilation must be backed with black screen material so any observer cannot see your mouth. OPTIONAL Stealth Trooper Modifications (Accepted, but not required) - Rank Pauldron (Black, Grey, Orange, or White). Made from heavy vinyl or leather. - Black Leather, Vinyl, or Canvas Ammunition Pouches (MP40, MP38, or similarly styled) Worn on the left shoulder, and optionally also on the belt. Ammo pouches may only be worn when a BFG is carried. - Black weathered macrobinoculars. Styled after those used in the Special Edition. - No thermal detonator when carrying a BFG (ammo pouch is worn instead) - Black ANH Stormtrooper-style ComLink - Hinged cod piece and butt-plate. - Helmet CPU fans. - Voice amplifier and/or voice effect board w/optional Static Burst. - Black Hovi-Mix cast “tusks” - Four “teeth” cut out and backed with black screen on either side of helmet “frown”. - Weathered armor is currently under consideration (Sandtrooper-style), but armor must still be glossy under the weathering. Commence the debate and we'll see what we can come up with. |
