Black is black, as far as the helmet indents are concerned. All helmets "should" have cheek tube stripes (only a few cannon TKs and TDs didn't have them), but it's widely accepted that these were a mistake and that they are there for a purpose. As far as the lines around the crown indents/cheek indents, if they're black or dark navy blue, no need for 'em, IMHO. They are there to stand out the contrast. But if you have grey indents, they should be present, just like TKs & TDs. The thermal detonator (if worn, but not of carrying a BFG), may be all black, black with grey stripes, or black with silver stripes. The black should be glossy, just like the armor. Matte black is not currently approved as an armor color. Hope that helps. If folks agree, we'll add it to the standard. Kev |
