I've seen others color their leather boots, to varying degrees of success, but I know that there can be some "touching-up" that has to be done after each trooping event.

Good Luck!

Make sure that you post pics of your completed armor!

If you want to get Red boots I purchased some from caboots.com by calling them up and paying $20 more to get them made in Red. They also took a little extra time, but was well worth it.

That is true about caboots..... I called them a few months back inquiring about the cost of black TK boots for the Stealth Trooper and was quoted an additional $20 over the normal cost. Although, the guy did suggest ordering multiples of the same color whenever possible. It may drive down the cost and wait time if they know they will be selling quite a few units.

Just a suggestion.

Greetings fellow troopers,

My red armor should be here by next week.

I received the red armor although it is in terrible condition. This is the first and last time I purchase a set of used armor.

This is probably a long shot but does anyone know where I can acquire a "brand new" set of red armor? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your experience with used armor, Red. I can put out a feeler for you. Let me see what I can come up with.

I bought my Magma armor used as well. I was very disappointed as it was pretty hacked when I first took it out of the box. After a couple weeks of hard work cleaning and fixing some pretty shoddy work by the original owner, I got it looking decent. You can see some pics in the posts above.

It's still a work in progress.

Good Luck!

I have found a guy with TK molds, just have to see if he can do red ABS (you usually have to buy it in bulk). I will check with him today.

Unfortunately he can't do red (unless he pre-orders 1000lbs of it). He can do white or black that can then be painted red, but then you're back at painting.

I really don't see a problem with painting, if it sctratches or is otherwise messed up it'll look like your armor was damaged. You'll get real looking BD and weathering.

Yeah, but if I had to paint it red, I'd use black as the base coat so it'd wear unnoticably.

I saw you at SDCC but every time I tried to get a chance to come over and say Hi, I got tugged off into another direction - sorry about that. But the coolest comment I heard on the floor was "Hey, look! It's a red Stormtrooper!" then "That is so damned cool - why weren't they in the movie?".

Kudos on pulling off the coolest TX I saw at the Con! I feel really bad that I never got the chance to say hi. It won't happen again.
