hi everyone. i was wanting to know if anyone that had a pair of the skechers sable boots had a pic with them wearing them with their armor? wanted to see what they looked like next to the armor as im debating on getting a pair of them or the 70's platform shoes in black. |

Personally I'd lean towards the sketchers as the 70's boots look great, but you'd better add some arch support for trooping. Lemme see if I can scratch up a pic for you. Kev |

thanks kev. would love to see a pic with them and armour. i went ahead and ordered a pair of the 70's disco elvis boots since i found a black pair for $27. now i wont have to worry about dyeing a white pair. plus $27 looked better than $69 right now. i still want to get the sketchers too though since im sure there is no comparison in the comfort. also im not a fan of heeled shoes and the lug soles just look more menacing. maybe next week i will order a pair depending on paycheck. |

Here's some extra boot sources I've found... Sketcher Defender - not the most accurate, but they'll work: http://shop.skechers.com/shop/men/shoes/al...0179&STYLE=null These are the most accurate, but very pricey: http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/product.aspx?Dep...rogrpcode=share http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores...72601&top=gents Timberland Torrence Chelsea Boot ($115) Accurate, but needs a good polish: http://www.flcrooks.com/index.asp?PageActi...ogle&ProdID=155 Also try Froogle for pricing (but the boots must be black): http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=black+...=ff&oi=froogler Kev |

With everything going up over the $100 mark, you'd do just as well to call the folks at www.caboots.com and order theirs... for $20 more (total $100), they'll do stormtrooper boots in colors other than white. Problem is, you gotta wait 12-14 weeks. So if you know you're doing a stealth trooper in the near future, put in the boot order now... by the time you finish, you'll have them. |

I've never been a big CABoots fan - My personal feeling is they've been taking advantage of us for far too long and they'll never get a dollar or referral from me. The Sketchers work for me, especially because I got them for $36 from their outlet store. |

I just ordered the these. If you go straight to the sight they come in at $250. If you google "Black Leather Chelsea Boots" about six sights down you will read "25% off Charles Tyrwhitt.....". Click on that and then click on the 25% off and it will get you back to the Charles Trywhitt sight. Go to mens black shoes and you will see them for $132.50 with free shipping. The best is they look exactly like the CAboots but all black. For only $32.50 more. Anyway good luck. BTW-This is my first post and I am glad to be here. :ph43r: |
