I'd like to formally announce that REDTROOPER has been appointed interim XO of the 501st Spec Ops Detachment. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael at C3 and know he'll make a great addition to our leadership team. Please keep in mind that because we are just starting out, all officer positions within the Det are temporary until we can hold formal elections. Everyone in the Det is welcomed to participate and elect/support their leadership in a democratic manner as dictated by the 501st Charter. We still need leads for all the armor categories, and I'd like to have a PR Officer to assist. If anyone is interested in stepping into a leadership position here and you are a member in good standing with the 501st, feel free to respond or PM me. Nominations hereby accepted! Thanks for participating and I will add you all to be able to moderate your sections. Keep in mind that these are temporary positions for a period of one year until we can hold a formal vote by the general Det membership. There are still some open slots, so first come, first served. My only requirement is that you are a 501st Legion member in good standing and that you own the costume you specialize in (kinda hard to lead something you know nothing about).  I appreciate the help and promise to get us started right. I'm still waiting for the official status from the Legion (have applied several times, but it is being worked - just hard to get them to reply). But have no fear... We're getting there. The more members, the better. And I'm not against adding more costumes (as long as they fit the ideals of Special Operations). All accepted costumes will be subject to a vote by the membership and leadership of the Det. Corey was one of the original 3 of us to start this place up but we kinda lost track of each other and I pressed on to make us official in the 501st. I hope I did him proud and gladly welcome him back to the team.

Yes between house being sold and buying a new on and medical situations I really got lost. No offense taken either, never did see any offense Thanks for the welcome and its great to see things are moving along, we need this det big time!!!! |

Thanks Kevin and thank you for still considering me a CO. You need to take a lot of the credit though. The forum and membership drives have been your puppy and you have done a heck of a job!!!! That also goes for the rest of the officers! I will try and get things moving on the Sniper scout areas ASAP! Again thank you and its great to be back in service. |
