Bob (VaderPainter) does deliver, but get an estimate on the wait from him prior to ordering. At that price, it can't be beat. |

Yeah, I saw that the price can't be beat, I mean $35 for both shins? Jeez! However, I kinda feel like a traitor for (potentially) buying from him. I hear there's some bad blood between he and alot of folks in the 501st. Is he known for having long wait times on his stuff? |

Bob and the 501st have had issues in the past and Albin has said let bye-gones be bye-gones, so no need to re-dredge them up. To me, I'd have no problem dealing with Bob - he's an honorable guy who stands by his work. Some items he does, like painting Vader armor, tends to have a long waiting list, so it's always best to email him on turn-around time. |

I'd have no problem with it if you'd like to scuff up your shiny black armor. Personally, I look at us as being idealized, parade versions of our deployed bretheren. True - if I were in the field, I'd get rid of the gloss quick. But I'm in agreement with you on the weapons - they SHOULD be able to use anything at their disposal in the Imperial armory. But typical loadout is what was stated in the specs. Your suggestions are dually noted and will be added to be voted upon. |

You can call me the boss, but honestly I'm just another knucklehead 'round here - learning just like the rest of you.
My specialty is the Stealth Trooper, not the Storm Commando - so I'll let you guys refine the specifics of your costume. The official specs haven't been finalized yet, but I'd like to get them submitted soon. Any last contributions, ideas, complaints, etc before we upchannel them? |

please please please, no TK+TB combos ... the thigh and vambraces are clearly (from the available pics) not TK armour... |

I agree with Rob. All reference pics show that there are too many differences in the TK armor to what the Commandos wear. The choices are 1. All black TB 2. TB parts meshed with custom parts for the rest of the armor. No TK+TB meshes. |

I would have to agree as well, Bry. I'm no expert, But i know enough to seperate the TK and TB. I also believe they are totally different.

This image from the WOTC Sourcebook indeed looks like a TK/TB hybrid, so perhaps there may in fact be two standards, like the differences between an ESB & ROTJ Fett?

What is WOTC? I am very suspect of that, since it looks like fan art. |

Wizards of the Coast The company that had (possibly still has, I'm not sure) the rights to the Star Wars roleplaying game after it was taken away from Est End Games. I've studied that picture a fair bit, and I can't be certain on the thighs, but the vambraces on that one are still not TK vambraces, there're still too smooth. |

The thigh armor looks like a TK though. I really wish there'd be a decent picture to go by.
We may just have 3 different versions in the end - but I really like the look of that last one.
