(Hi 1st post, I'll say hi elsewhere) I've been studying this pic in correlation to what some places sell as Storm Commando armour. It seems that the armour is sold with Vader shins, and TK thighs and forearms. Looking at the pic I'd say there were no thighs, and are they TK forearms? |

There are thighs but the shin armor overlaps. The TK arms would work, but I don't see the 11 dimples - I guess we need another reference pic. It also appears in the pic that you need a set of hard spats for the shoes. I believe we had decided that two versions would be acceptable. 1) Black Biker Scout (already accepted) and this more accurate version (with modified pieces). |

Yeah - I believe the Det agreed that either of the two versions were acceptable (because of differing approved LFL EU sources), but the harder to do one (the vader shin version) would be the premium version. |

I always took that to be a combat knife, like what any of our real-life commandos may carry when out on a high-profile mission. Wait, were you referring to the left hip, or the lower left leg? I interpreted the left hip to be a blaster pistol, like the size of a hold-out blaster or like the sidearms that the Clone Commanders had in the animated series (I was planning on patterning the sidearm after those that the CC's had). So it appears to me that on the right hip, would be like an E-11 size blaster rifle and on the left it would be a blaster pistol, with a combat knife attached at the lower leg. Note: these guys are also known to perform special tasks like sniping. When I do the costume, I want to carry the above mentioned weapons as well as the DLT-20a.... in some of the RPG books, it was billed as a sniper rifle. And in the BF videogames, the scout carries a rifle that is designated as the DLT-20a, but only it has the barrel of the DLT-19 on it, instead. I'm a gun guy, I notice little stuff like that. These SC also would or could carry the Imperial equivalent of a bazooka. I had seen two SC showcased in a Dark Horse comic, once. This two-man team tried to take Han and Luke out with a bazooka. But Luke instead used the Force, enabling he and Han to dodge the incoming bazooka round. The SC's high-tailed it out of there. I only bring this up to show that these guys are pretty diverse. So I would think that just about any weapon configuration should be suitable for this costume. Just my two credits worth. |
