My garrison had an armor party Sunday. We made 35 stockings, boxed them and they are now on their way to the troops. This is one of the coolest ideas for the troops. It makes me proud to see that regardless of how people feel about the war, everyone still supports the troops. |

That is awesome. I agree - no matter what people feel politically, I'm glad to see that they're supporting the troops. These brave folks signed up to protect and defend no knowing where they'd be going or what they'd be doing. They deserve our immense respect and admiration for doing a job so many of us would not want to do. And in having toys in the stockings, the troops can give them to kids over there to show the US is not the big bully we've been painted out to be. Some of the best pictures I've seen from the troops are ones where they're playing with the local kids. Thanks again for all who have taken the time and money to help out on this project. You've made a difference in some young soldier's life. Kev |
