I've been a Stealth Trooper since last October. This past Halloween was the first time I went public. I lost track of how many folks I took pictures with. My lastest regret is not suiting up for Wondercon last week in San Francisco. Comic Con for sure this year!

Looking good Trooper! Oh and Welcome to the Spec Ops Detachment! Also, thank your brother for serving! I really appreciate a soldier's bravery and IMHO they don't get "Thanked" enough.

Greetings all. Just received my official notice of acceptance into the 501st. I'm TI-6897 of the Mountain Garrison-Snowy Range Squad. My next uniform will be a TX. I got the armor fully assembled from a member of the South Carolina Garrison. Just need to tweak the strapping system for a better fit, and submit it for review and approval.

I'll be going on my first official troop this Saturday in the Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade, in my TI. I hope to have the TX ready and approved for StarFest in Denver next month. Looking forward to joining the SpecOps detachment, and having a great time in the 501st.

Greetings all,

My name is AJ, I'm in the 501st currently as TK #2399. Garrison Titan in Seattle.

I'm working on a TX Storm Commando -
*waiting on my black TX commando armor
*working on the soft armor w/ help
*have my E11 w/ sniper extension and holster
*have my black flightsuit from my local air force surplus supply

working on the boots... torn between ankle high + jango fett shin guards or full boots...
adding decals to the helmet and suit...
painting the jango fett shin guards...

I'd like to try adding the elite pieces... (black stormtrooper style thighs, forearms, hand covers; stormtrooper style cut codpiece; and jango fett style shin guards)

Has anyone done a storm commando elite yet, and if so, can you post pictures?

Welcome aboard, guys! AJ, the pics and specs should be in the Storm Commando section, but the costume will still have to be approved by the LMO. We'll help you every step of the way with references and pics to validate the costume.

Have fun and we're here to help you.

Sorry for being gone for so long group; but, life in all of its complexity has been a real bummer. I am back and have recently applied for membership with the 501st and will be trooping with the Star Garrison in the next few months. Pics are up from a couple Cons and hope to have better pics to send in for membership consideration. Just glad to finally be back where I belong. Hope all are well..;)

Greetings my fellow troopers!

I'm Sean and I live in Minooka, IL with my wife and 2 boys (12 and 14). I've been a member of the 501st (Midwest Garrison (MWG)) for a few years. I've been a Star Wars geek/fan since 1977 when I saw the film at 10 years old.

I recently purchased a used set TX armor. I've been working dilegently to get it ready for my first troop on July 5. The MWG will be walking in the Bartlett, IL 4th of July parade. The parade is a total of 2 miles. I did it last year in white armor and it was HOT! My fans gave out about 1/2 way through the walk, but I managed to survive.

Anyway, I have all the correct soft and hard parts according to the requirement. However, I would like to double check on the boots. I purchased a pair of Doc Martin ankle boots off E-bay. They have the "U" shaped stretchy material on the sides, are shiney (not glossy), have less than a 1" heel. These would be acceptable - yes?

I'd also ike to get my hands on a set of mirror lenses. If anyone has a set laying around let me know. Otherwise I'm going with the dark green.

I apologize in advance to the hardcore purists, but I absolutely love the FX bucket! It's roomy, fits all the electronics and is big enough for my huge knogin!

Anyway, thanks for having me. I've learned a lot since I've been here. Loads of great info!

See ya!

Welcome aboard, Sean. By the sound of it, those boots will do fine, but pics would help nail it down for you.

Best of luck in getting ready for the 4th! I hope you have many great troops in your "new to you" TX!

Hey, i'm PJ from the NER. I was originally going to do a Blackhole (Shadow) Stormtrooper but because of glasses and the size of the TK helmets I'm working on a Storm Commando that will later be modded into the Elite Storm Commando.

I've already ordered my black scout armor from Mon Cal and have all of the pieces, only waiting on the shipping and then will make the costume work!

Hi,

I'm Eric, i'm member from the french garrison and the rebel french base too (don't blast!!). A a SW fan since 1977 when i saw "a new hope" (yes i young). I'm doing SW events since 2004.

I've always been interested by the storm commando seen in the WEG RPG.

For the moment i'm waiting the black kit from studio creation. i did't know how to make thigt plaque and i discovered the sintra in this forum, so i said wooow i can make it myself!!

I not sure if my armor will stay glossy or not. What paint i need?

For the blaster i'm searching a SE-14r but the only one i've founded is in Kropselke (wainting answer).
As santroop i already have a E11 but i can't wear it on the right side, i think i'll use the E11 toy.

That's all for now, i think i will have a lot of work....ha ha ha!!

Hi I'm ID-3106 aka Lauren. I am in AZ and I am currently working on the shadow scout. So I know I will need help building it as I only have the Imp. officer so this will be my first armor!!!!
I can't wait as I will be the first one in my Garrison!!
I have heard there is a difference or debates between the two as in Shadow Scout and storm commando and was wondering what the difference is.
