The official SW Databank Entry:

The seatroopers were developed for the original Star Wars Roleplaying Game, for the adventure module Battle for the Golden Sun. An earlier iteration of aquatic stormtrooper armor appeared in the Marvel Comics series, enforcing Imperial order on the planet Iskalon.

Not too many mods needed. The big one, obviously, is the tank. The hoses wouldn't be that hard to do, the shins would need to be made. It'd be interesting to see this in person.

Mr Fett (Andy) did a great one at C3 and he's a member here - hopefully he'll chime in and perhaps become a mod for this costume.

I'm thinking the tank could be done in such a way that it'd look heavy but weigh nothing (kinda like sandy backpacks).

But I was bored and just wanted to research as much as I could to get this section going. ;)

The problem for me is I'd like nothing better than to make these but I have neither the place not skills... Maybe someone would be kind enough to offer if I volunteer to spend all of my free time working on the project ;)

Hello. I'm here. LOL

In this link:

My helmet is actually a Don Post, not a Rubies.

The Seatrooper went over well enough where a guy on the RPF was making a custom figure/model of a Seatrooper for himself and he painted it dark blue after seeing pics of my suit!!!

This is pretty cool. I am a Scuba Diver and seriously considering this.

Where did you get that undersuit MrFett?

The top is the muscle shirt off my Spider-Man suit, and the pants are just those elastic workout pants like the underarmour ones, to look like trooper undersuits, in my own way.

This is an old pic from Marvel comic # 74 "The Iskalon effect" from aug 1983, it is an old reference and is it a lot different from the one we all know now. Not to be taken as a real reference to modify the concept of sea troop but funny to see how things change over the years

The calves on the Sea Trooper are hard armour with little water jets on the back for added speed. The cod piece is loose fitting so as to make kiciking easier and more comfortable, try having something hard running thru your crotch adn and do flutter kicvk and hten tell me. Most of the Sea Trooper armour is hard armour rather that soft. Also the tanks are re-breathers rather than bubblers, will allow more down time and better stealth. Also you have to figure as they are from a different universe the re-breather technology would be far more sophisticatred than our own. Also on the Sea Troopers right calf is a holstered Scout Blaster pistol.

Since trooping in flippers might be difficult what would someone suggest for shoes or foot wear? It seems that the shins have a resemblance to the GM or the BARC trooper with scout knees and the COD is like a snowtroopers. Are those good assumptions? Mr. Fett you are the only approved sea trooper I was wondering what you used for the tank.

Man, I haven't been around in a while. Sorry for the super late reply. Anyway, yes I used snowtrooper cod, and modified stormy knees with snowtrooper knees. The tank was an old squirtgun backpack tank I got from my wife's parents garage that she and her sisters used as kids. It was yellow and I repainted it black.

The shoes I used were normal SCUBA dive booties from a dive store and the fins are worn hanging off my left hip.

Oh man! you Sooo had me at "dive store". I think I have found what I want to be when I grow up and try to be a legion member! Nobody could be as cool as your costume, but I can give it a shot to try and be at least you second in command!

I already have ideas ... scary!
