Shadow Trooper; Action Figure

Well it seems there is now a HAsbro SW EU Shadow Trooper Action Figure.

I'm curious what effects people think this will have on us "Stealthies" out there as it has a differnet name (and I'm told technically we're blackhole troopers not stealthies anyway) and the action figure has a navy blue undersuit and navy on the boots.

Here's a high rez pic of the actual toy:

No blue undersuit - it was only on the package artwork.

Is it just me, or does it seem that the "under armor" for this trooper, as seen on the fig, is of a padded, or vertically piped design.... kind of like i have heard of the type of under armor that the clones wear??

Am I making any sense here?

As I've been known to say before, never base your costume on an action figure unless you're going that route. Hasbro is notorious for inaccuracies - so we'll stay with the standard underarmor on this one. ;)

You are making sense, but listen to Kev. You kind of sound like a "Chef" but maybe that is just me. Hmmmmm. Did you introduce yourself in the announcement section? If not, glad to have to here. TXs are the true backbone of the 501st. Even if we are "EU".

I wasn't implying that I would base a costume off of a figure. I was just curious. I agree with Kev. I'd rather stick with the normal under armor that all the TK's and TB's wear...

Sandy, huh....... you remind me of a certain TD that was sent out to the wastelands of the Desert for mouthing off to a certain ISB officer! ;)
And yes I did introduce myself.... only it was after the fact that I started posting on the boards here!

The funny thing is, I know people who are planning on hitting San Diego ComicCon as the action figure. ;) And I'll proudly stand beside them.

Sometimes we tend to take accuracy too seriously over having fun interacting with the fans. I'm all for doing whatever makes you happy without hurting others in the pursuit of fun.

That's why I broke with 501st tradition and openly welcome "customs" in the Det. You may not be able to get a TX ID with it (for now), but at least you can proudly show it off to your bretheren and you'll always be welcome as a member here. And I promise we won't treat you anything other than family. :)

Kev,

That is what i like about this detachment. Everyone is welcome and made to feel so. I won't be able to go to SDCC so I ordered acouple on Starwarsshop.com. I won't get mine until august but at least I will get one. I am just impressed that an EU character got figure, and I am talking about a figure that isn't that recognizable. Too cool. Can't wait to be one myself. Soon, real soon.
