TX-9889 Posts: 206 Group: Supporter Member #250 Joined: January 17, 2007	I'm really sorry I missed out on the group photo. That had to be the biggest and only disappointment of the weekend. At the last minute I was lucky enough to pick up a clone trooper armor kit for my son, so I had to re-prioritize my efforts from finishing my armor to making sure he had a costume to wear for the weekend. I was literally working on both our kits up until the day we showed up in costume. After about a couple hours after showing up, the heat and moisture I was giving off caused my industrial strength velcro to come undone from my chest armor, unbelievable I had to duck out right before the photo shoot. Needless to say I was extremely ticked, but oh well, it was well worth finishing my sons armor and at least I was able to make a brief appearance. Elvis trooper really dug the mini clone too, he actually asked me to take some pics with his camera for himself. He's a pretty cool cat. I was surprised to find a snapshot of me with my son from our first appearance Saturday on the Star Wars website, only they didnt bother to make sure he was actually facing the camera. What gives? Oh well, at least some snapshots were taken before my wardrobe malfunction happened. I had to ask my father to help me get my son ready while I was franticly putting my armor on. So he took my son to the convention while and I ended up meeting up with them a couple hours later. I did'nt notice until after leaving that he'd put his shin armor on backwards, D'oh. I made sure the following day though that his gear stayed together and was properly fitted, tucking his neck seal every so often, pulling his pants up and adjusting his belt etc. It was well worth it, missing out on dressing up myself just so he could enjoy the event. I only wish I'd taken more photos, so if anyone happens to come across more pics of me and or my son, please let me know.

You all did a very, very good job representing the Detachment! I was shattered to find I wasn't going to be able to make it after all I put in to get the X-Wing ready (Mary had a badge waiting for me). Anyway, the standard job credit goes to Kevin, not to me, I just took the desing to a publicity agency so they can print it but it was our Det. Leader who made it. BTW Kev, pm me your addy so I can mail you the standard, I want you to keep it. KUDOS FOR THE GUYS WHO MADE IT TO C IV AND KUDOS FOR THE GUYS WHO DIDN'T TX YOU ALL ROCK!!!!

I had my hands full with my 4 yr old and was only able to "troop" every other day. I saw several of you fellow TX there and thought you guys looked great.
