I've seen a couple of sets of white FX armor that have been painted. There are a few sets that have been vacu-formed in Red ABS. Either way, it's against 501st policy to discuss makers and sellers of armor in an unprotected forum. Sorry. For starters, though, you might want to try eBay. Good luck. |

I think for snyone wanting to get a set of red TK armor should just save themselves some money, and get a regular FX suit and paint it. Red ABS is hard to find, and is just expensive to buy. Here's what I recomend, get a set of white FX armor, go to home depot or lowes, and buy a few cans of "Painter's touch: Apple Red" I think it will work fine. -tubachris |

If you paint red a white kit you better have LOTS of the same color in stock because you will be repainting almost after every single trooping |

Well the painter s touch brand is very durable, and is very difficult to scrathc, it reminds me of an automotive car oaint in a way. Its a very durable and hard to scratch up. -tubachris |

Here is a thought or two on the subject. One way to solve the problem with painting is to get several cans, we are talking like 7 or 8 cans or so, per coating of armor. After you have applied the desired amout of coats to your armor, I would suggest a couple of coats of clear coat. Again, you are looking at several cans of that as well. The benefit of clear coat is that it seals your color onto the surface. And if you apply enough coats, it won't be as likely to scratch or degrade after every trooping. I'd also suggest possibly primimg your armor with a darker color primer. There is nothing worse than having white scratches showing through your red-painted armor. It would look like it was, in fact, red-painted armor. That would be one way. You could probably save yourself some money in the long run just by talking your armor to an automotive paint shop and having them professionally paint your armor with automotive paint. It should be durable and longlasting as auto paint is designed to keep its color for at least 10 years ( an average life of a vehicle). Just a couple of thoughts on the subject. |

There may be a TK maker that does red armor. Let me check my sources and see and I'll PM you. But eBay may be a best bet for quick turnaround. Just check with us before you buy so I can verify the maker in case you get scammed. |

yeah you are better off paying extra to have a maker buy the red plastic and make yours. |

Has anyone found a source for red armour yet? I would love my first outfit to me a Magma trooper. If there is a source for red armour it would save a lot of problems with painting the white armour. |
