 Here it is about 90% there i'd say. Still need the stomach pouches, and i want a couple extra pouches for the belt, need to do some more work with the belt. I'm jsut using a carpenters belt (get to use it for more than just costuming) and i want to find some pants that have a similar material to the jackets... i think i should just break down and get the black jump suit from somewhere, i'd be happier with that i think. Sorry the pictures are kinda blurry, wasn't using the flash. The grenades aren't part of the costume, but i think i might make up some fake smoke grenades or something to go there.

I'm kinda going for a Imperial Gang and Riot Response Team concept. Maybe i should make i riot shield eventual.. kinda big to haul around...

lol, i was about to get some action poses but then the camera battery died :P Once i have the extra pouches on and some gas grenades and some sort of pistol i'll get back into it and get some more pictures (hopefully not blurry and some close ups of details)

 i went ahead and bought a jumpsuit a couple days ago, figure i'll be happier with that. Just need to make those extra pouches and some props!

 whoops, looks like i deleted all those photos off my account... i think i found someone to do the stomach pouches, chick in my garrison, once i have those it should be complete... although i want to make a riot shield too... it never ends lol ;) i'll post a new finished pic once it's all done, cheers.

 Oh man. it's been forever and a day since i've shown my ugly mug around here.
Good news on this project. Finally going to finish it up. Got stomach pouches done, a guy from my local garrision is donating a belt with pouches "Yay!" and i'm going to make a riot shield for this out of some plastic before may 2nd.
Have a troop at a friends comic book store that i'm going to debute this bad boy at.

One place I would love some tips or suggestions, what kind of gun do you all think would go well with this? I'm thinking a pistol of sorts would be best.

 DZ, very true, that would be the cheapest rout for me too! I already have an E11 for my TK that i'm really happy with, although i broke the ammo clip off it doing a baseball slide in a hockey game, glued it back on tho: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdTeNPWuVGU about 2min 30 sec in, that's me.

Anyhoo, getting some progress done finally on this heap, here is the riot shield i'm working on. In the interest in keeping my arm attached to my body i am building it out of thin plywood, going to paint it black and a large imperial cog on the front, most likely a silver color for the cog but i'm open to suggestions :) also when money permits i want to install some lights on the front. Anyone know a good and easy to find item to make up mock gas grenades? Water bottles, soup cans?

oh and going to premier this costume at a friends comic book show in May, will do my best to get some pics up from that.

 Still planning on dedicating this project to our troops, will paint the wounded warrior project logo on the shield in the middle of the cog and on the shoulder bell of the armor.
Promote and raise awareness for what the folks over at wounded warrior are doing.

 Hey everyone, got my riot shield built. Just need to add another coat of paint and the Imperial cog. Eventually i'll get some lights for the front but not today (no cash)

That's comin right up:). Friend in the garrison is making up a vinyl chrome cog that's going on the front. Then eventually I'll also mount some lights on the front too.
Also, when the paint is done drying i'm installing a plastic shield in the view port :D

 Here is the latest on the shield and the armor for it. Those are tap lights in the upper right i found at Kmart, using those to put on the shield.
The deal with the paint job on the shoulder bell is the Wounded Warrior Project logo. Wounded Warrior is an organization that offers support to disabled veterans. You can learn more about them here: http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/

Since the 501st is oriented around supporting children (an this is a custom design) I will not affiliate it will the 501st or CCG (my garrision), just to be on the safer side of things.
