I've been able to track down most of the pieces need for a Storm Commando. The one piece I'm having a heck of a time finding is an accurate cod piece. Are you guys using the bottom portion of the TK abdomen armor, or is there some other piece out there. I'm half tempted to just ditch that piece due to the comfort factor. Any help is appreciated...thanks. |

Those Storm Commandos over there in Germany used TK cod pieces. And while I do have a TK cod piece at home I could paint, I think I am going to try to find a different solution. I think I will go buy an athletic support cup and do a vaccum mold off of it. It is the closest that I can think of getting to the cod piece as seen in a lot of the reference pics. If anyone else has a better idea, I am all ears..... errr, eyes!

And those vambraces are awesome..... that will be a challenge for me, since I've never worked with sintra - or molding pieces for that matter! Fortunately, I do have friends in the garrison that are very talented that could lend me a hand. - Bill |

Thanks
Sintra is dead easy to work with. It cuts with a sharp knife, sands easilly, and forms in boiling water (or with a heat gun). If anyone's interested I'll post up some kind of 'how to guide' as I'm making my thigh armour from sintra. |

I was going to use Jango thigh armor.... but if you have a tutorial for something that would look better I am all for it! - Bill |

I've only just started on my thighs, so it'll be a slow one ... but I'll post up what I have in my wip thread. However, I can post a general 'how to' with sintra and add in pics as I go through the process with the thighs. |
