I just paid for my armor, so I can't wait to get it. As far as trimming the armor... well, I'll be waiting for the next major armor party and bring the armor along. I will solicit the help of others in this project so that I don't screw it up!

I hope you have fun making the armor, which is what it's all about.
I was lazy when I ordered my armor...I got it pre-trimmed. I only had to trim the helmet.

You sir, are a dog!
I will enjoy the challenge of putting this set of armor together.... not really looking forward to all that trimming though. Still, it will be a valuable learning experience... I hope. I will probably go with that MLC bucket when it comes time to get the costume completed. I'm also planning on custom making the vambraces. I'll be using the Vader shins, without the knee plate portion, of course. Jango's thigh and boot spats. And I am planning on doing the custom work for the red bandoliers that General Weir wears - anyone know where I will be able to find that red reflective lens for the bucket? The boots themselves will be a $15 Wal-Mart special. So, I think this will be a very fun project. I am as excited about it as I am the CorSec and Rebel Officer costumes that I am simulataneously working on. Rob always did call me a costume whore, or the he-who-has-a-thousand-costumes (or at the very least a thousand unfinished costumes). But yet, he's the one with the multiple TKID's.... I only have the one! I wouldn't want to disappoint ya buddy! - Bill |

I am too, planning to make a set of the red bandoliers. I am planning to use red vinyl. I have an idea on how I want to do it. Now if it will work we shall see!!!
 I got the idea from looking over this.... Tusken bandoliers I think you could mod the pouches to look a bit different. The red reflective lens is another thing that I am trying to figure out. I am first going to check snow boarding goggles. If that doesn't work the only other thing I can think of is a red gel over a normal lens. But this project will be a BLAST! I'm not in a rush. I get to be creative and really think about how this will come together!

I started work on this today. WOW. I only managed to get two pieces rough cut out and one smoothed in about 2.5 hours. But that's alright, I don't mind the time. I really did forget about the stinky fumes though. PU. |

Those plastic fumes are insanely annoying - Since I live in an apartment with my GF I could only ever trim and cut armor whenever I had free time at home and she was at work! |

You know red vinyl isn't a bad idea. I actually have an a account with the local Tandy shop here in Portland. He gives me wholesale discount prices because the costuming and charity work we do. I was actually thinking about getting two long belt blanks, dyeing them red and making the "bandolier boxes" out of wood blocks. Either that or making plastic boxes and attaching them to the belts. But to do a plastic box with all of the custom work, I am inclined to think that I would have had to build a custom template, like out of wood, to mold the plastic in its likeness. I am thinking detailed wood boxes that are fastened onto the belts is a perfect solution for that aspect of the costume. Makes it a little more personal and unique.... - Bill |

I too got a set of the armor from (NAME REMOVED BY MODS - Please don't name armorers in public) and Kevin is helping should I saying doing most of the work Doh! But we too will post pictures of our biuld soon. I have a place to get the black biker scout helmet kit but its kinda pricey at $250.00 for just the kit. So I will try to paint my white rubies black and do some mods on it. |

Hey that MLC FB Scout helmet is a bit more expensive, I think. It's the bucket that will be the most expensive piece of the costume.... I can't wait to sport this bad boy! - Bill |
