I've started on my Coruscant Guard chest and back assembly. This is going to take some time primarily because of the size of the parts, but also because I'll have to figure certain things out along the way.

I'm building this the same way I built my helmet. Cardboard, fiberglass, and bondo. As of right now, the cardboard stage is complete. Some areas (outside bottom of pecs, center of chest) will have to be adjusted in the bondo stage, but that's the wonderful thing about this method - you don't have to be exact in the cardboard stage.

Been working on the fiberglass stage to my chest armor. It's turning out to be a LOT of work, but I was expecting that.

I covered the inside in a layer of fiberglass cloth. Fiberglass cloth isn't as strong as fiberglass mat, but it's perfect for this application in keeping the shape of the chest armor (plus adding a little extra strength in the end).

And now I'm working on fiberglassing the outside. I'm using fiberglass mat for the outside. Where you see all those rough, unfinished edges, that will all be cut away. I'm doing this so I don't have to fold over any fiberglass... When I cut it away, it will leave a clean, sharp edge.

I've also been working on the shoulder bells. I didn't take any pics of their cardboard stage, but it's nothing you haven't seen before if you've been following my threads. Both shoulder bells' outsides are covered in fiberglass, but I still need to do the insides of them. That will come later, after I sand down those edges.
