This seems to be the only 'thread area' for the shadow ops costumes, and the requirements threads have the shadow trooper info, but I'm looking for shadow scout boots. Been considering making my own using the existing tutorials, though not certain how the holster will hold up mounted onto them. Any other shadow scouts got any qwords of advice?? Thanks Rob |

I am using the same boots that Greedo from Cloud City Garrison is using for his Stealth Trooper. They are basically an over-the-ankle chelsea-style boot. They have these motorcycle style biker boot straps on them... but those can always be removed. I am thinking that I will keep the (at least one of them) straps intact so that I can secure the boot spats to them. - BIll |

I just finished making my boots. I used the tutorial from BSN and a pair of black work boots I don't really wear anymore:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'll admit they didn't come out super great, but I found it was actually a lot easier than I thought, and only cost me $10 in vinyl and a couple hours of my life. I didn't attach the holster yet because I still have to trim it, but I have a pair of white biker boots I got from MLC which are friggin' incredible, and looking how they attached the holster it should be no problem... four rivets (and maybe some velcro on the inside and then on the flight suit leg to add extra support). The cuff is a little too big and they sorta look like giant rubber rain boots, but the idea is there and now I know how to do it I will be able to do it better next time around. Also, there is a guy in BSN that sells biker boots and he can do them in black. PM me if you want I'll give you his contact info... <_< |

Is there a site where someone could get these boots because I've been looking and found one of many places to get my stuff for my armor. Possible walmart or some other place is where I can get them. I am still doing some soul searching so no worries. |

Are you talking about the actual boot to use for a base? I got a regulary black pair of work type boots from like a run of the mill shoe store at the mall, like Payless or something. It was a long time ago. I then used black vinyl and the tutorial from BSN to make them. I know there is a member on BSN that makes scout boots and he will make them in black if you want: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=3037 Not sure the status of his availability but I know he makes good stuff and his wife (I believe) is ladyghost who rocks the soft parts
