Detachment Leader

I've noticed lately that Flagship Eclipse has been claiming to be the 501st EU Detachment on the Legion forums, their website, and on their forum. I'd like to remind the Legion that the 501st Special Operations Detachment was the original and very first EU Detachment in the Legion and we pride ourselves by being home of EU Trooper Costumes within the Legion. Flagship Eclipse started out as the EU Sith Lord Det when the official Sith Lord Det refused their costumes. We supported them then, and will continue to support them in the future, but their claim to be the 501st EU Det is not only misleading, but incorrect. We were in existence several years before they filed for Detachment status, and since they were formed, other Dets have opened up to house EU costumes, such as the FISD, Clonetroopers.net, and the Sovereign Protectors. As TXs, always be proud that we worked very hard to pave the way for more EU costumes within the Legion and that we'll always remain home to EU Trooper costumes. We have the greatest active EU membership numbers, so while we may no longer be the only EU Det in the Legion, we continue to be the best! So the next time you hear someone say they belong to the EU Det, remind them that you belong to the Legion's original EU Detachment - the 501st Special Operations Detachment! Others might claim it, but now you know the truth. Kev - TX-1422 Your proud 501st Spec Ops Detachment Leader |

Rock on Kev! The fact of the matter is that not only are their multiple EU detachments, but some detachments cover both canon and EU (think CTN). SpecOps and yourself should be proud in having been first, and leading the way for the rest of the Legion. |
