I ran across a vendor named Star Fortress Productions, has anyone heard of them and, if so, what is there rep? They have an extensive, almost too extensive, line of armor and helmet-like everything ever made seems like. It just sounds too good to be true. Also, What type of Helmet should I be looking for and where do I look? I have a bigger head and don't want to inadvertantly buy a bucket I have to shoe horn on. Sorry if these are stupid questions, just eager to make sure I am getting quaality stuff. |

Let me put this as delicately as I can.... STEER CLEAR OF STAR FORTRESS PRODUCTIONS!!! They are known to screw people out of their hard-earned money. A customer would be lucky to get a quality item from these guys, if even at all... They have gone completely web based. There is no way to contact them. They operate out of another country, so if there is a issuethat comes up, you are effectively hosed over. Bad customer service, they are way over-priced for the quality that they produce... oh and did I mention that the owner is wanted here in the States for a string of felonies? Why would anyone willingly support SFP? I can't speak for the rest of the lot here (or for the all of the 501st), but if I were you I wouldn't give them one red cent of your hard-earned money! I believe this is a vendor that the 501st doesn't recommend dealing with, and if I am mistaken, this vendor should be on a "do not do business with" list. But that is just my own humble suggestion. As for what helmet? I am assuming that you are doing the Black Stormtrooper costume? I believe (someone correst me if I am wrong here) that the FX helmets are for those folks with bigger noggins. - Bill |

FX helmet would be your best bet for a larger head. Master Replicas CE helmet ($99) is also a good bet, but steer clear of AP/TE helms as they probably won't fit. I agree with the assessment on Star Fortress. Steer clear of them - I've only had bad experiences with them. |
