Storm Commando figure?; Where did the colour scheme come from?

Hello there, this is my first post with you guys.
Just wondering where the colour scheme for the Shadow Scout or Storm Commando action figure came from. The figures armour is of course black, but the cumberbund is grey with black pockets and cod piece and a cross stitch front. The flight suit is also grey, not black.
Is there any reference material to support these colours other than the picture on the packet, or are they an action figure only thing?

First, welcome aboard!

Action figures are normally unacceptable for reference material according to the Legion. All current color schemes proposed for this costume were garnered from existing licenced LFL artwork. This doesn't mean the action figure is wrong, but if it supports the existing art, it may qualify.

I'm willing to look at your proposal and compare it to the CRL standard that was submitted to the Legion Membership Officer if you can post some pics.

G'day Kev, copy and paste this link in your browser http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh55/Shocktrooper28/shadowscout/
These are the only reference pics i could find for the figure version. It also includes my outfit, based on the figure version.
:)
Thanks for your reply, i'll look forward to hearing from you.
I couldnt believe how hard it is to get reference pics for this one.

I'll work with the LMO and see if we can't get this approved and added to the CRL. The Legion usually frowns upon the Hasbro figures as references, but it can be worked. I think with that photo, it can and will be approved.

Give it a few days - the Legion Council is debating all the costumes in the first CRL roll-out. I'll be the first to let you know when I hear something back.

I don't feel it will be a hard thing to pass, I just have to modify our current Storm Commando CRL (and the Det members need to approve it for release).
