I was planning on carrying this as a Storm Commando.

It's a pretty accurate RT-97C but modified to be a sniper variant, with a stock, bipod and big scope.

Not quite finished yet.

I decided to go for a removable barrel. It effects the look a little, but I think it adds to that sniper rifle 'break down' feel. Otherwise I'd be constantly knocking it off.

Not technically canon, but my understanding is that Storm Commandos can't troop at canon events anyway as they are EU?

I think that's a sweet rifle! The word Canon has differing interpretations in the Legion. For true "LFL sponsored" events, I've yet to see a TX be invited. But for local Garrison events, you should be ok unless the host has specified "Movie Canon-only" characters.

Not the answer you probably want... I made it.

If you fancy making one, I can supply you with details. One word of warning, with the real scope and bits of ply it's borderline heavy for trooping. Personally I don't mind as I think it adds realism.

The Scope, Bipod and Stock are from ebay.
The Counter and Cylinders (not on the picture) are from a supplier.
The Barrels were taken off a completed rifle I bought from a member of KOTE, but they are basically just plastic pipes cut to size with some holes in. As far as I can tell this was made using a tutorial, I've got the link somewhere.
The Grip and Magazine outers are laser diecut plywood, I can supply these or just the templates.
The Magazine barrels are wide pipes cut down and covered in ribbed rubber matting.

There was a bit of adaptation along the way, so it probably wouldn't look exactly the same.

The original rifle was actually in pretty good shape and had an excellent weathered finish, in a way it was a pity to break it down.
