How many different characters that are based (or have large pieces from) the black biker scout are there?

Thanks.

I would be very interested to see a definitive database of Black Biker Scouts appearances and images.

There are quite a few images spread across the board, but often they are simply called Storm Commandos when the actual reference didn't actually call them anything.

I recently bought the 'Rogue Leader' comics, which are sometimes referred to. At no point are the Black Biker Scouts given a name. Though they are later used as a reference on the Star War site database.

Also they seem to be simply Black versions of the standard scout, with no extra bits. The only difference I can see (apart from the guy with red bandoliers) is they seem to wear form fitting under armour, but that may simply be the artists impression.

It would be good when showing images to give a detailed description of the source and the name, if any, which was used on that occasion.

As you can tell I'm finding it a bit confusing.

There are several different TX Biker Scouts (technically referred to here as Storm Commandos).

First is a black biker scout to BSN standards (just black armor vs white). It is the base Legion standard, and BikerScout.net standards apply. There are also earlier RPG versions (2 - one is a concept version with a cool WWII Germans-style helmet), as well as a comics version that I think you're referring to. I've seen a few others, but we need to consolidate them into the proposed Costume Reference Library specs for Legion approval.

Check out the CRL thread (pinned) for proposed specs on each costume variation: http://s11.zetaboards.com/501st_Spec_Ops_Det/topic/142289/1/#new
They've been argued to death almost. ;) But we're still refining them.

With all of these 'versions' out there, as a GML I am finding it difficult to approve anyone.
Now with the understanding that a straight up TB that simply replaces all white parts with Black ones. (oh and the fish hook is gray, not black).

This is why the LMO counts on the DLs for TX approvals, as we're just a little tougher to approve than canon costumes (with lots of visual references). It's not that we're elitist, it's just the visual references are harder to find, but for the most part, we have them. Once the CRL specs are finished, it should be a much easier job for GMLs to approve our costumes and we're working hard towards that end. :)
