Had an AWESOME time as always!! Big thanks to ECG for hosting, I rocked a bunch of my costumes including my Shadow Scout and brand new "Ash Trooper" to represent the Special Ops  We had a huge 501st / RL dinner and we had several honored guest show up, including Peter Mayhew, Anthony Forrest, Steve Sansweet (who actually hung out at our con tables the entire time he was there), Jan Duursema, Doug Wrangler and Matt Bush. I had spoken to Jan and Doug at their table over the course of the con, as they are very friendly towards everyone, but had some personal friends from the 501st Midwest Garrison there so we got a little extra attention, LOL. Doug was a huge fan of challenge coins, and on Sunday I gave him one of my Special Ops ones, as I was rockin' the Shadow Scout. He nearly lept out of his seat with excitement and couldn't have been more appreciative. Jan was jealous, but said she collected patches anyway... so I gave her one of my NER 5th Anniversary v2 patches. She too was extremely happy      And it's not Special Ops but I was so stoked to debut Nicole's brand new female Clone Jedi. I think she looks as hot in that as her Slave Leia...

Very nice Con wrap-up and great pics as always. I really do love the fact your were rockin' the Ash Trooper at the con. I hope some of the artists took notice and we see you and Piero represented in comics sometime soon and we get a reason to put together a CRL entry for them. Kev |

That would be sweet... I didn't get a chance to sand and paint my armor, even though it's black ABS the color contrast shows up when a flash is used. I'm going to try and fix that when I get the chance. |
