I was inspired by Tubachris85's thread on the TDH. So I decided to build one too, I had even ordered TK armor but I am too big for it. So I gave it away to my good friend TK-4484. I wanted to build this for guys who are too big for TK stuff but like the look of the DT (closes thing to a TK in my opinion).

My only other experience in armor building is the chest resculpt of Republic Commando (PA gear). PA armor is very accurate, but I wanted the ARTWORK chest plate VS the game files version. I took a stab at the RC lid but that did not work out.

Anyhow, instead posting every single pic over here, I will just post the link for the thread and continue to post here as well. :'(

I am NOT a professional prop maker, but a SW FAN who wants to build a Dark Trooper Full Scale to TROOP in. This is definitely a process and seems to move slow, I have a greater understanding of what Chris has taken on. It is a PLASTIC ADDICTION at times. :D

PEPAKURA ( I actually built 3 until I found the right size for me) 5' 10" 245lbs thick Somoa mixed asian - American.

Some bondo. Sand and repeat. I am no where done, or ready to make all the straight lines, I am just trying to add a layer of bondo to the whole bucket and then sand down. And then I will sculpt in the detail with more bondo.

I have been focusing on work and my Mando bucket, but a little progress done on the Dark Trooper. Just a splash of bondo for now on the DT.

As I am still learning and like TorsoBoy approach on the paper and cardboard with FG then Bondo. Here are some of the cardboard pieces that will get some FG on them soon.

Helmet - I have not worked on.

Back of paper chest:
