Gotta love Zach's TX, the Magma Trooper!! After the event we all went back to my place for a BBQ, and my son had to dig through his toys to find a red trooper to play with - he settled with one of the Shock Troopers, LOL, but was upset because it wasn't all red... MISSION REPORT TYPE OF FUNCTION: Fundraising walk for cystic fibrosis. WHAT WAS OUR ROLE AT THE FUNCTION: To entertain the attendees during registration, hand out swag, pose for pics and sign autograph cards. We also cheered on the walkers as they started the race. LOCATION: Ocean & Fifth Avenues, Bradley Beach, NJ 07720 MEMBERS ATTENDING: 1) Bro - TB 2) Mike - TD 3) CJ - TS 4) Zach - TX 5) Joe - Jedi 6) Logan - Jango Fett 7) Mel (Joe's wife) - spotter 8) Tracy (Mike's wife) - spotter 9) Dan (Mike's son) - spotter THE GOOD: Even with some unfortunate last minute drop outs we had a great showing for a brand new contact and event. The attendance was small, mostly due to the weather, but everyone loved us and we were a big hit. The host was super impressed and wants to use us again in the future. We also had a lot of trooper's family members show up to help out. It's great when significant others and kids come and participate, it's always encouraged and always a big help!! Mel is a spotter pro, and Tracy and Dan did an awesome job for their first time out. I hope to see them again!! Also, it's my backyard here, and Logan wanted to come suit up as well. Even though I haven't gotten to mod his Jango gear (to fit him a little better) yet he put it on and had a blast running around chasing CJ, LOL. Afterward I was glad everyone came to my place and we had an awesome little barbaque and hangin' session. THE BAD: Only real complaint is total bad weather. It rained the entire time, but regardless all the troopers worked through it and had a good time. If it was nicer, the crowd would have been HUGE, because the boardwalk would have been busy with people just there for the sake of being there, LOL. Gotta love the Magma Troopers! I wish we had more of them but I hear the plastic is hard to get and you have to order in large quantities. Great job! |

Yeah, Zach always gets a lot of attention, red troopers are pretty rare but VERY cool!!
