Hello fellow Special Ops brothers (and sisters)! I just wanted to share my experiences at this year's Anime Expo in L.A. Although I am Star Wars character the responses I got for being there was HUGE! And surprisingly a lot of con attendees recognized that I was a Shadow Stormtrooper and not Darth Vader or a TIE Pilot (it kinda helped that a TIE Pilot was there as well). Anyway, here is a video of my friends and I just arriving at the convention and getting mobbed for pictures even before we could get our badges and hit the exhibit floor! And second, here is a link to my girlfriend's Flickr account which shows all the pictures I took with con attendees, other folks in costume and even Kel Mitchell! Enjoy~ - Lester NOTE: I think the only part of the con that I didn't enjoy was not being able to bring my blaster into the convention when I saw other folks bring in blasters, cannons, swords, and other (even more dangerous) weapons onto the floor. Regardless though, I complied to the center's rules and had a great time nonetheless! |

hey hey there Ya met me there as kakashi hope ya remember and here as i promise the pic i had of ya but yeah I told ya i was a shadow trooper too i went in armor the day 1 and day 3. here is a good pic of me XD Yeah I know how ya feel about being mobbed o.o but yeah i am not approved yet ^^ but getting there but i am planning to go next year so hope to see ya there XD  and yeah i was worried about the whole weapon deal so i kinda did this to my mod hasbro so they said it was good enough   orange capping sucks but i look bare without it by my side Edited by Torisempai, Jul 21 2009, 07:06 AM.

Hey Kakashi! I definitely remember! Thanks for the picture I'm going to add it to my pool of pictures from Anime Expo! It's funny how you mention that you were able to bring in your blaster by orange capping it cause when I went in armor, the reps stated that orange tips are not enough. From what they told me, I'd have to paint 50% of my blaster a different color in order for me to get in. But I think next time I'm just going to cap it as well cause like you I felt naked without it

well for next time there are "stations" to get the weapons checked so you can try to get ahold of someone else to be more ...how can i say...into the darkside cause come on...a black stormtrooper cant be walking around with a bright color gun...kills the effect. I saw other stormtroopers with and without guns so i guess it is who you talk to try again next year lol if not i probably bring a light saber instead |
