Hey Follow TX builders and owners - I have gotten my TX armor and put it together however after trying it on my thigh pieces are to small. Have to shim the back of the thighs but don't have enough extra abs to do that....

1. Anybody know where to get extra pieces?

2. Is it me or do they make this armor small? (I am 6'3 and 230lbs and athletic) Calves are tight but thighs are to small :-/ Is it me or do you have to be small or skinny to wear this???

3. Also the shiney boots we all tend to wear for our TK... they don't make for the TX in size 12/13 any suggestions to help a brother out?

thx for any input!!!

for the boots i had the same prob and bought a pair of work boots non steel caped and shined and shined and polished and polished

also use shoe lacquer to keep the shine but thats like 3 to 6 coats on top of the polish

i am trying to get some shoe lacquer from the u.k some mates in the u.k forces swear by it for the parade boots and such

cheers

Sorry to hear about your experience. This is a really useful site to double check online retailers. There is one review for Helmet Etc

I've heard of some of the bigger guys using a patent leather to shim the back before using button snaps to hold it together.

Never a problem to shim for those of us bigger guys. I'd try black ABS first, if you can get it, then the above solutions.
