Zach rocked his really sweet TX for this, wanted to share with you all... as copied from the NER site: MISSION REPORT TYPE OF FUNCTION: Sommerset Patriots Baseball Game, "Star Wars Night". WHAT WAS OUR ROLE AT THE FUNCTION: We provided a small skit on the field to kick off the game, and Vader threw out a pitch. We then went into the concourse area and stationed at a table to hand out swag, pose for pictures and sign autographs. LOCATION: 1 Patriots Park, Bridgewater, NJ MEMBERS ATTENDING: 1) Lance - Vader 2) Bro - CC & Jedi 3) PJ - TB 4) Zach - TX 5) Gary (Carida) - TK 6) Tim (RL) - Rebel Fleet Trooper 7) Amanda - Spotter 8) Daniel (Gary's friend) - Spotter 9) Aaron (Lance's son) - Spotter THE GOOD: This was the third time we've made an appearance at this stadium, and things went great!! We had some initial concern because due to unfortunate circumstances our initial sign up membership number dropped significantly, however we had just enough troopers (thanks to Zach jumping in last min) to make the skit work and make the event a success. The entrance skit was fun, and went very well. Afterwhich we went to the concourse area and set up at our swag table. We spread our members out to three different stations, all close but far enough away that people formed different lines and waited patiently for a picture and autograph. Tim worked the table like a pro, putting up swag on a continuous basis (I didn't want it all thrown out at once) and Amanda and Daniel did a phenominal job spotting, taking pics and making sure our costumed guys were okay and if they needed breaks the got them safely to the elevator and to our break room. Every time I needed a different marker I'd look over to Amanda and she'd be holding it out for me, lol. THE BAD: Not bad, more funny. I wore my Jedi for the entrance skit, so we had one to interact with Vader. I didn't rock the Quinlan Vos gear because I didn't plan on wearing it for more than the three minute skit. Once we were off the field I had my Commander Neyo to change into, but wanted to help bring the stuff up and get the table in order so I didn't change right away. Next thing I knew I had my own line of like 75 people all wanting my autograph and picture. Many people were referring to me as Obi-Wan, because my outfit is similar in color and style, but I didn't feel comfortable playing that as I look nothing like him, lol, so I would tell them I was actually Obi-Wan's fellow Jedi Knight, and that he was on a seperate mission with Master Yoda. I signed my Jedi name, "Nahon Ish-Maee". Eventually I was able to change into my Neyo, and again got a separate, never-ending line, ha. THE UGLY: Heat!!! Wow, it was as hot as always, and after changing into my Neyo, Zach and I went upstairs to visit the luxury boxes. The moment I stepped out of the elevator my lenses fogged up, and along with that and the dark I was completely blind! And although the kids in the boxes enjoyed our visit, some of the boxes had adults that were a little less than careful when it came to posing with us, they didn't mean any harm but they definately thought we were more like paid mascots or entertainment than costumers with very expensive and delicate gear. Thanks to everyone who came, it was an awesome time!!
