The Website: What You Want!

Well folks, once I've finished requests of site templates for other people, I'm going to be creating a website for Afterlife UK. As you probably know, I'm highly experienced in website design and have my own portfolio (which will be going online shortly).

And because I want people to get use out of the site, I'm going to ask everyone here what they want to see on it. I'll give you a list of some of the features I'm considering and alls you need to do is state whether or not you'd use them.

  • I intend to create a page/database of investigation reports from various UK / Irl groups.
  • The hosting has PHP and MySQL installed, and I was thinking maybe a control panel that you can login to and add photos to an exclusive gallery, or perhaps articles/investigation reports of your own.
  • I am hoping to learn some RSS so that we can install our own news feed which will generate paranormal news. I also hope to move our ITN News Feed to the website.
  • Do You Believe used to have testimonials about its site on various pages. I'm hoping to regain testimonials from our registered users. With javascript, I'm planning to allow a random testimonial appear on each individual page.
  • And finally, Do You Believe was to implement its own "Big Online Haunting Guide", an eBook of haunted places across Britain, and short descriptions about them all.
If you can think of any other possibilities, please reply to this post. Cheers!

Cheers that might be of some help. Yes I need to get some flash software on here in order to build a flash site; I don't know how much that costs or even if there's any free downloadable software, I'll ask about... :)

I also am looking forward to watching the evilution of "AfterlifeUK" as it grows into a major metaphysical site with many very active members.

I am just beginning to find my way around and in the future will be looking for a way to increase the contrast of the presentation for these 71 year old eyes. There may already be such a way that I am nor aware of.

You have been kind enough to allow me to join as your token American so I thought that before I tell my online friends about this site, do you want to keep it mainly UK, or do you want to open it up worldwide? If you deside to open it up, please let me know when you are satisfied with the basic changes so I can then invite a few close friends.

Respectlu,

Poppy

Intentionally, it was for the purpose of the UK residents that I'd opened this board; but of course we welcome anyone from anywhere and am happy for your friends to join up too. :)

Perhaps we could have an extra section covering other paranormal-related topics such as UFOs etc - what do people think?

I think we should have a section about famous mystery cases - it would cover a wider range of paranormal related topics - what do other people think?
