I still can't believe that this has happened!!! It's not right & it's not fair! I have signed the petition, i did as soon as i found out about it! Grey's isn't going to be the same without Callica!!! I watched Entertainment Tonight and it was confirmed on there that Brooke Smith is actually leaving and this is not just a publicity stunt :'( I hope we do find out what really happened! As fans we deserve that much! To know why our favourite couple got destroyed before anything began and why Brooke was fired!!! I know there is a lot of speculation floating around and i don't know what to believe anymore! every thing that has been said is conflicting and i would just like a straight answer!!! |

I think this the best place to put this!! For those who don’t know Five is the non-cable UK channel that shows Grey’s Anatomy. Their CEO Dawn Airey is a Gay right activist. She has a civil partnership and a daughter with her partner. I’ve known her for a few years and have let her know about ‘Brookegate’ Five have not as yet brought the rights to season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy. If Dawn gets her way - they never will. Now that - really will hit ABC where it hurts … ;) |

Hi-Everyone I am a 43 year old women who just joined on the 3rd of november! With what has happened in the last several days saddens me to my core. The firing of Brooke Smith and the severing of the first fictional Love relationship between 2 functioning women on television is simply frightening. The Night before election day we heard the news and that very evening our president elect included gay individuals in his acceptance speech. I am a proud lesbian and have lived with discrimination all my life . The character of Erica was indeed inspirational to anyone man or women who has maintained the dignity of who they are throughout the struggles we have endured because of the people we love. I had commented the day they fired Ms. Smith that I was worried they were going to ruin it. I have signed all the petitions and wrote to ABC Also my partner, my mother, My boss and my brother have also signed . Be proud of who you love and who loves you all of us need to live or lives as if we are the majority. There are superb people out there that Love and accept us unconditionally Unfortunately those people At ABC are more Intrested in the almighty dollar then inspiring the desperate gay teen |

As much as I love doing all this for Brooke the petition and everything, I don't think it's going to do anything because in all honesty if I was her and ABC offered me the job back I'd tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine. Oh I know UK stuff won't bring Brooke back but I want to hurt ABC as much as they have hurt Brooke and Sara if she has quit over this! :D You can post it anywhere you want but can you not use my name and can you get rid of Dawn's just put the CEO. I don't want anyone else to lose their jobs. Thanks!! :D |

was this the original ending to the episode, or did they xhange it? if it was the original, and if Brooke was not fired i know they would've fixed everything. on another note: i' make sure to e-mail ABC and tell them how you feel. from what i've heard they're shocked and stunned by how upset people are by this. i wrote them as did one of my friends. |

Sounds like music to my ears... may I ask where did you hear that? At this point I'm fairly sure we're not very likely to get them to change anything regarding the storyline, but I'm SO proud of all the noise we're making (specially if it's shocking them and questioning the rightness of their decision). |

I had never ever watched an episode of GA until I happened across an article back in May about a lesbian developement . Via BetweenThaLine - Hester postings on youtube I was brought upto speed . I am now Callica obsessed . I had only admiration for the portrayal of a romantic relationshop between women . Go Greys and so I spread the word and peeps have bought box sets as a result . Now this- Shame on ABC 50,000 sexual encounters between unmarried , adulturers , public exhibitionism , casual sex as well as relationships yet ABC cannot handle one lesbian couple the suits do not understand that it is not about the sexual . GA appeared to give a genuine reflection of society - appearances are deceptive . |

FYI...On IMDB under Brooke Smith, is the episode "These Ties That Bind" 5x08 however last week was supposed to be her last show...my intuition say's she is going to get into an accident & will be unconcious as she dies in the OR this week. Then her heart will be donated and transplated into her patient that didn't get his heart 2 years ago, which will bring the story full circle, and will have Erica's heart live on. I believe her last speaking role was last weeks show. I'm so sorry to rain on anyones wishes to have her back...however I believe ABC has every intention of making this final. Time to stock up on tissue for my massive tears from my breaking heart!!! After this weeks show I will not be tuning in to Grey's any more. Erica/Brooke is my glasses for the show...Erica/Brooke has my heart and my loyalty! Brooke we will always love you, and will be watching for you! You are amazing! Thank you for bringing Dr. Erica Hahn to life, and giving her your heart...she/you are beautiful both inside and out! We miss you already!!!!!!!! |

IMDB is not reliable. They often just copy the main cast list from the week before - Erica may well die and be in this episode but Brooke isn’t. I think that is she is in this week it will just be the ‘previously on’ and by rights they should credit her. Then again this is ABC |
