I use a very large comforter over Summer's cage and a pair of smaller flannel-type blankets over Kahn's cage and they're covered on all 4 sides. There's no chance of them running out of air using blankets or comforters. As for the sneezing.. Summer sneezes many times during the day, while Kahn may do it one or two times. Neither one has ever had any nasal discharge or illnesses at any time that I've had them. Sneezing seems kind of normal for them. I like to joke that Summer is allergic to people.  I guess I should say Summer may not have any nasal discharge, but sometimes when she sneezes near my face, I have to clean my glasses (birdie boogers, I guess..  )
