I didn't say this and completely my fault, so I apologize for some of the left out info.. She is no longer on antibiotics, Only while she was in the store for feeding, etc. She does not have green mucus coming out anymore. Only white, and her sneezing is down to a minimum (which I know is normal to just clear out, etc) I guess it's just bad timing in losing a job, huh? haha Random question also: I've only dealt with bigger birds so this is my first real little one (big bird, small body though) But can Conures eat peanuts? like as a treat? I know they are fattening .. Also in her food there is pieces of sunflower seed which she absolutely LOVES.. Could that be used as treats also? And also just to say.. About the bird place.. this isn't like a Petsmart or anything.. People come from very far away to come to this birds exotic.. so I'm just dumbfounded that this problem is occurring.. especially with me, since I've trained some of their previously abused birds.. (which are up for adoption) but I worked with socializing them, etc. Anyway..thank you both for being so kind to me ! Izzy is on my shoulder as I type this, thanking you both as well. | scifizfishey Today, 10:01 AM | Reply to Good bird being bad! in Health Questions & Chat: Thank you both for your replies. I'm just hoping it passes sooner rather than later. He's getting to the point where I can only have him out for 15 minutes at a time because of his irratic behavior. I've tried covering him with my hand and talking softly to him when he's out, he calms down pretty quick but goes right back to the biting soon after. As for the bells, those are his absolute favorites to get angry at. He's got one of those rubber balls with the bell inside and he unleashes quite a bit of anger on it. Haha. It's the only bell he hasn't broken! He's actually out with me right now, being pretty good too (knock on wood). Thank you! I will keep you updated! Oh well he just bit me. That didn't last long.... |
