from an unknown website -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I thought I would share with you guys one of my favorite recipes We had this last night actually Lulee, my green cheek conure hates her veggies. We work hard on them though and there are times we can get her to eat healthier. This is one of the ways I trick her. I put a few ice cubes, about two cups of berries a cup of baby carrots and a cup of broccoli. I usually put a little fruit juice in too, last night was pomegranate/blue berry juice. I blend it nice and smooth and serve it to the fids. Obviously you can put whatever you want in, spinach, bananas, squash, etc. Lulee loves it, she used to have it without the broccoli and then one day it sort of dawned on me. Put the broccoli in the smoothie too, and it's worked well so far. It's still not as healthy as I would like her to eat but for a once a week treat it does get her some vitamin k |
