I'd been looking around for a while for a playstand for Gizmo and didn't seen anything that either wasn't too expensive or just what I wanted. I looked on this forum and saw Cathy's amazing playstand so used her table style as a starter for my gym. Sadly we don't have Ikea close so I wasn't able to get a great solid wood coffee table but the one I used will work for now.![]() As you can see I used icing colors to dye the wood, I mixed it will alcohol to sterilize the wood while I painted. I was really pleased about the strong colors that came out from the icing. ![]() I wanted to have different ways of getting to the levels so I have a plain ladder, a spiral staircase and a rope ladder. Gizmo can use all of the but generally chooses to cheat by using her cage to move up and down. I ran out of dowels so haven't created the swing base for the top yet so just hung it on the lower level for now. I also have to install a basket ball hoop as my husband seems to think we have a basketball playing conure So thank you Cathy for the inspiration and giving me the confidence to think that I could try to build something. |

She's very happy, I've velcroed at pot to the top stand so she can eat without throwing the pot off, she only did that with the fresh veg though she wasn't so keen on it. |
