hey all! i am new to the forum and i need major help with all my conure pairs!! i have several.

dusky conure pair- the male is 5 years old and was once tame. now its a battle me stealing the bowl to fill it with food. he goes in and out of the nestbox. pulls out bedding. the female is 3-4 years old. i got her as a pet and even though i dont mess with her that much anymore, she is still a pet. not a mean bone in her body. the male is chasing her and starting to ruffle up her tail feathers. she wants not much to do with him. they do preen each other though. he tries to feed her but she wont accept it. what should i do? they are in a cage by themself. the have been housed with green cheeks before though.

next pair!

sun conure pair- this pair is 2 years old. very nice and sweet. they are quite tame. every since the breeding season started, they have been nasty to me. that is ok though coz i really want them to breed. a couple months ago, they were in a cage with another pair of suns. well all the suns would get into 1 cockatiel nestbox even though there was 2. needless to say, the other pair had a baby that is 3 months old now and weaned and everything. well after that, i seperated them. the other pair is my mom's. well myself and my mom had witnessed my pair breeding inside the box and in the cage. out in the open! they bred 3-4 times within 3 weeks. the female never laid an egg! like 5 weeks or so have passed. the female just spends a lot of time in her box. well my mom and i have put the 2 sun pairs back together. her pair had already laid an egg though. so her pair stays in the box almost all the time. mine go in and out of thier box. still no eggs though. now my mom's pair come out of thier box from time to time and i have noticed something. my pair will attack one of hers. it's mate does not help it out either. this didnt happen the last time they were together. should i seperate them or leave them together? they have plenty of space.

pair #3

maroon bellie conures- the male is 2 years old and used to be tame. now he is semi-tame. the female is 4 and semi-tame. a little nippy really. they preen each other. the female used to go in and out of the box. this pair used to be in with the pair of duskys. i seperated them coz the males would fight on ocassion. also the male dusky was preening and hanging around the female maroon bellie. the female maroon bellie would get preened and preen the male maroon bellie and the male dusky. now the male maroon bellie would preen the female maroon bellie, the male dusky, and the female dusky. now at one point the female dusky and male maroon bellie were caged together alone. they were doing great until he started plucking th back of her neck! i seperated them and her feathers grew back. also, the 2 duskys didnt always get along but do now. anyways, back to the maroon bellies. when the maroon bellies were in with the duskys, i basically so the maroon bellies try to 69! is this a good thing? are they just now trying to figure out how to breed? well the maroon bellies are now in with the last pair i have.

pair #4

normal male and female cinnamon. they are 4 years old. the only activity i have seen with them is the male going in and out of the box. also, i have seen the male try to keep the female down with his beak on her head. he as pressing her down. member this pair is in with the maroon bellie pair. recently i have seen nothing out of either pair! do i need to put the maroon bellies back with the duskys? does each pair need to be in its own cage? i am very lost at this point on what to do. do i need to give them any supplements?

note: all these pairs get fresh food and water everyday. a parrot/cockatiel mix. fruit pellets and treats. foraging spray millet 3 times a week. fresh fruit/birdie cooked food 1-2 times a week. any help will be appreciated!!

WOW!!! You sure have a lot of Conures!!!! You know I don't think there is a special recipe for a pair to actually mate and have eggs/babies...... Mine have decided to mate and have eggs right away without any of my doing!!!! They just got along right away and decided to get "cheeky", granted I don't know if they are fertile but no pressure, I just get along for the ride.... :)

You seem to have them all rightly fed and you seem to care for them the right way.....I am sure someone more experienced will give you insights or pointers for a successfull breeding.... :D
