I'm not sure having a fan blowing on a bird is a good idea. Is this similar to what you're talking about: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PET-CAGE-COOLER-CAGE-FAN-FOR-DOGS-CATS-BIRDS-HAMSTERS_W0QQitemZ290321044014QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item43987b922e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 I think as long as it's not blowing directly on your bird, it would be fine. You really don't want a draft blowing right on him. I didn't think it got that warm in the UK. |

I guess my next question is, how warm does it get in the room your birds are in? |

OK.. Unless it gets over 95 or 100 degrees F (or 35 to 38 there.. ) and stays that hot for a long time, I'm sure Stewie would be fine without a fan. I know when I first Kahn and Summer, the temperature in my apartment would get pretty high (no air conditioner) and it didn't have any bad effects on them. I've seen birds outside panting from the heat here in Texas. Nice to have AC here in the house..

I use a large fan on the aviary, but it only blows thru one corner, the rest of the aviary is still... but when it gets over 100*... you know where all the birds are... right in front of the fan! |

I stick a fan in the window to force the inside air out. then I have a ceiling fan that circulates in that room too. Everybody has clipped wings so we don't "hit the fan!" |
