If you sew, even minimally, you can make a more customized cover. You can purchase fabric or cut what you need from an existing quilt. Pete has a big cage (32x23). ![]() So I bought about 3 yards of quilted fabric (dark green). I hemmed the edges and sewed self adhering velco strips at key points around the top edge. It only took five velcro locations to hold the fabric around the entire cage (overlapping in the front). ![]() Here's what it looks like hanging from the top bar of the cage: It's nice and snug to keep out drafts but I still don't place it directly in line with air vents. If anyone is interested I can supply photos and advice on the much more custom cover I made for my smaller cockatiel cage. That one is very fitted and has a drawstring around the bottom to really keep them snug for a trip up north last winter. Edited by n2xuw, Jun 24 2009, 11:49 AM.
