Do not use a Vacuum Cleaner when.....

Do not use a vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of your birdcage while the bird is still in it! Remove the bird first, if you really must use the vacuum.

When I was 18, I remember watching my mom use the sweeper hose to clean her cages...... unfortunately my dad's finch didn't think it was a good idea and went berzerk, and got sucked up in the hose. luckily it was a canister vac, but the finch was badly injured and died a couple days later.

Even when i vacuum the rug around my birds cage , they absolutely HATE the sound of the vacuum cleaner .. lol
