thanks for posting the name... i knew cats saliva can be toxic to birds, but didnt know the name... just like cat poop is harmful to pregnant women, but cant remember that name either (told ya, my memory sucks! LOL) i'm in agreement with Carla, i never made a big deal of it either... i just let them go about their own business, but keep a spray bottle at hand incase a warning spray was needed for the kitten. All my cats have been inside cats too, but all are rescues/strays, so its never totally known what their hunting skills in the wild have been! i think you asked what other risks there were with the cage/cats... I'd say just make sure the cage is secure, with no risk of it getting knocked over... and always keep the back covered, with the top & sides 1/4 covered.... it gives a good hiding place for you bird, to get away from any staring eyes. I always keep a rope ring hanging in the middle of the cages too... no cat arms can get thru to there, but with the right bar spacing, that wouldnt be an issue anyway

Thanks for all the information! I tried their first intro (very short, Cody was in the flight suit so I had full control over him) and Mittens was on the floor. She looked at him, but did stalk or go near him. She actually got scared when he flew from my arm to my shoulder, lol. I hope this is a good sign.
