I've taken a lot of time to look around your forum... I have to say that you folks seem like a very friendly encouraging group (something that is hard to find amongst all the bickering and sarcasm). My name is Amber.... I have a three year old Peach Front Conure named Galen. He (I think) is my world! I've had him since he was three months old. What kind of conures do you all have? I took Galen for his first vet appointment today and it was more entertaining than T.V! I brought him in his carrier (his wings aren't clipped, we have dogs...) and the vets resident Kitty took a lot of interest, peering into the carrier... pawing the plastic and sitting curled up to the carrier. Surprinsingly, Galen was just as curious (I was careful to not let the cat hurt/antagonize Galen). We got called into the room, and he was so good! He sat there and ate the Drs pen casing while she moved the stethoscope all around and lifted his wings! What a good bird! everything is fine with him, and turns out, I'm not a horrid conure mommy:) We carved a pumpking the other night, and Galen was at his post in the middle of it all. supervising. I own Kermit = GC conure Oliie = Meyers parrot Gizmo = blue fischer love bird 5 parrotlets = Scooby,Sky,Snoopy,Tico,Smurf and 3 babies at the moment

We call him " Connie " & Sunny the Sun ... ( I know its not that original of a name . LOL ) but she is a character . They are best pals the 2 of them , when i try to train them i take Sunny to a seperate room with a playstand , and they scream to each other because they want to be together . Its really funny !
