moderator Posts: 1,129 Group: Staff Member #608 Joined: October 26, 2008 Gender: Female # of conures: 1 I'm a conure: Owner My name is: jackie Location: York Yorshire England My Conure/s are: green cheeked	Awe he is lovely As for the nipping ,GC are know for nipping kermit ,still does it occasionally now, but i agree with dusky either a quick blow in his face a say NO or gently take hold of his top beak, i do this to kermit and it stops him biting, it works for me, but i make sure i only hold the beak gently, but firmly. He sounds lovely you will have many hours of fun

I am kinda thinking the breeder may have accidentaly taught him learned aggression though... He will just go looking for my hands so that he can bite them.

He will settle down and nip less as he gets used to you and his new home. I have a green cheek that is 10 months now and he has been chewing on us more than before. I call it his puppy stage. After several very firm "no!" he stops and preens him instead of me. Again, he is so pretty! Congratulations to you both
