Posts: 130 Group: Members Member #12 Joined: November 27, 2006	I had an absolutely amazing time at Gatecon!!!! As much as I hated to leave Vancouver, it was nice to get home and sleep in my own bed. I arrived home on Wednesday, 27 August. The highlight of the convention (at least for me) was: Attended Dan/Alex's charity auction, even though Dan wasn't able to be there for the auction itself because he was filming for Night at the Museum 2, but Alex took over and did a great job, everyone had a lot of laughs. I was lucky enough to win several items including a shooting schedule for SG-1 Ep The Fifth Man which was signed by five, and a set of 20 Star Wars Episode 1 lithographs in an absolutely beautiful metal box (which I gave to my nephew this weekend). The best part of all was winning a 15-minute photo shoot with Dan and Alex. The bidding was going back and forth between myself and someone in the front of the room. After my last bid, Alex said something about the two of us being at the convention together and why don't we just share it? That's when we realized that it was one of my roommates (Tracey/Writer997) and myself bidding against each other. We decided to share it like Alex suggested. What an experience the photo shoot was! We laughed sooooo hard the entire time! I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. If an opportunity like that ever comes up again, I would bid five times more than what I did. Our third roommate, Bird/Roberta took all the pictures with my camera, so there are tons of them and I will find time next week to start sharing the pictures. I'm in New York for the weekend, so I'm on limited time right now. I'll try to post more about Gatecon when I get back next week.
