Rodge: Yeah. Lucy:…called: ‘60 Second Superstar’ Cheesy jingle with the graphics Rodge: Oh, it’s like Saturday morning gone wrong. Podge: Alright, you got the graphics made up now what the hell is it? Lucy: 60 Second Superstar will be resurrecting those fleetingly famous people who once captured the imagination of the Irish public for…about a minute. Podge: Ah right ok. Rodge: Who out there doesn’t remember this cell-u-classic? Haha. Ad plays to the tune of ‘Something Stupid’, up to ‘and then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like…’ when Dan is on the phone and says ‘Hiya Kate? It’s the guy from the bar…no honestly it is!.....Hello?’ in a really strong country accent (NOT an attractive one!!!) Lucy: Oh my God, it’s the guy from the bar! Podge: There he is then. It’s the man from the bar! Now listen, do the girl a favour sonny, and don’t say the feckin words. Don’t spoil the moment. Lucy: No, do the line, do the line! Ladies, don’t we want to hear the line! Screams from the ladies Podge: Go on then, say the stupid line then, good man. Dan (in his own, much cuter accent): Hey Kate? Yeah it’s me winks the guy from the bar. Rodge: It’s not workin Podge: Wow, no no that’s not working, no no no. Rodge: What’s going on there? Podge: What happened there now sonny? Lucy: You’re not really the guy from the bar at all, are you? Dan: Well I am, I am the guy from the bar…but the voice was Risteard Cooper’s. Lucy: What?!?! Dan: Yeah, I’m sorry. Lucy: It was someone else’s voice? Dan: Yeah, it was. Podge: What a swizz. Lucy: Oh how embarrassing. So they didn’t actually like your voice? Dan: No. Lucy: Just your face. Podge: The Milly Vannilly (sp?) of the Irish ad world. So what are you up to now, are you miming in some poxy boy band or what’s going on? Come on Dan, tell us. Dan: Actually, I’m in Canada and I’ve got my own show. Rodge: Whereas here you’re just a total hasbeen. Isn’t life strange all the same? Podge: It certainly is, it certainly is. Lucy: On that kind note, Dan Payne, the guy from the bar everyone! Rodge: Dan Payne everyone, good man! Thanks Dan! He’s very tall, isn’t he? Podge: Shockin, mind your head there sonny! Lucy: He still is hot. It was one of the better phone ads, lol! And also, there were a couple of words there that are very mild curse words here, so if they're more offensive in other parts of the world, please let me know and I'll take them down!!
