Hmm, I believe the last film I saw was Spiderman 3. Tells the story of, well, Spiderman and his alter ego Peter Parker as he fixes up a seemingly perpetually broken relationship with Mary Jane and fights a dynamic duo of another Spiderman in a black costume (Venom) and some guy who could manipulate sand (Sandman). This film had great potential, but I think it went in the wrong direction. It had one too many villains, leading to inadequate character development. There wasn't enough of an actual plot. It seemed like an action film at its core, which is what it should be, covered by an unnecessary, extended daytime soap opera between Mary Jane and Peter Parker. Not enough things happened to make the 140 minutes seem worthwhile. The 3 or 4 battle scenes are worth watching, though. CGI is amazing these days...******* 7/10 stars |
