Yes, but I think they're indulging in a bit of wishful thinking, because really, having seen Emily perform live, there's no doubt about the fact that she is very slim. I saw only a slight, barely perceptible difference between her and any of the other skaters performing at Skate for Hope, and it's all to Emily's advantage. She's much healthier-looking than other figure skaters, but still very thin. Actually, more notable was the fact that she is a bit taller than the other female skaters. That too works to her advantage, I think, as it gives her greater presence on the ice, and a more striking silhouette. As soon as she skated onto the ice, even before she was introduced, there was no question that it was her. The mood in the audience was electric. |
