Exhibitions usually bore me... heh. There have been exceptions... I loved Emily's "I'll Stand By You"... Michelle Kwan's "Fields of Gold" and others... but generally I'm all about the thrill of the competition.

Particle Man, I totally agree. The thrill of competition is way, way, way more than just the jumps. Many people new to the sport have to be eased into the many aspects of competitive skating. Once you learn it, you find yourself on the edge of your seat watching the timing, the connective moves, the edging, preparation for each element, the jump entrances and jump exits, the interpretation, the choreography, the ice coverage, Matt Savoie, Jeremy Abbott, Patrick Chan and Takahiko Kozuka, Joannie Rochette, Yukari Nakano and Kim YuNa all have such gloriously rich programs.
