According to the official site, the "Skating for Life" show from earlier this month, in which Emily participated, will be broadcast on NBC this Satudray:

Here's the airtime:

I'm looking forward to it. I wonder how Emily will look (which costume she'll wear, etc.), and I'm also very curious which program she skated to.

For fans of Emily, today's "Skating for Life" show on TV was an absolute thrill!

Emily had no less than four costume changes. She appeared in the opening number in a white outfit (at last -- Emily skating in white), performed "Taking Chances" in a purple costume, skated to "Some Things Never Change" by Sara Evans in her dark blue Today show outfit, and finally, appeared in a lilac costume in the closing number.

That purple costume is now my all-time favourite Emily outfit. She looked terrific in it. Purple really is her colour, especially since she's a brunette.

I wish we could have seen more of Emily performing in the white and lilac oufits.

I was delighted to see her skate to "Taking Chances," because it's a routine that always enraptures me. It's just such a lyrical, romantic number, and Emily performed it exceptionally well in this show.

I'm no fan of country music, but Emily had a lot of fun with "Some Things Never Change." Plus, it's the first all-new routine that fans have seen from Emily in a while. It's too bad that the camera kept cutting away from her to the singer, but otherwise, a real treat.

There was no question as to who the star of the show was, by the way. Emily was the very first skater to appear on the ice at the beginning of the show, and skated a jump directly towards the camera. Many of the performers did only a single solo routine, but Emily did two.

Here are videos of all of Emily's appearnces during this program.

First, "Taking Chances" (the highlight of the show):

Next, "Some Things Never Change."

And finally, a video capturing all of the other material -- Emily in the credits; her spotlight moments during the opening and closing ensemble numbers; and a short interview clip with Emily and her mother.

I will always favour Emily's curvier appearance from earlier this year, but she still looks terrific, and skates beautifully.

The Emily Hughes site features some lovely (and high-res) new pictures of Emily at this event.

As I said, ery pretty costume (the purple one).

I'm intrigued by the photo showing her sitting on the ice, with a "Hmm" look on her face. I wonder what led to that shot?
